And so recall that in our structure each corner represents a carbon atom. So we would have a carbon here, a carbon here, a carbon here, we have a carbon here. Carbon here and a carbon here. And versus counting a count of 12 or in this case one, sorry 12, we would have a count of 123 which is a continuous count of carbons on this chain, on the right hand side. And so this would be our longest carbon chain in the structure, meaning we should also recognize that it's bonded next to this. NH recall that this is our aiming group. So and a mean is our type of group in an organic molecule where we have nitrogen bonded according to its bonding preference to three atoms with its one lone pair. Where one of these bonds to an atom can be a hydrogen atom and then the other two can be our group. So we would have our one and then our two in this case meaning we would have a secondary aiming. So the degree of our aiming corresponds to how many are groups. It's bonded to meaning we have to our groups. So we have a secondary aiming and right now we counted a continuous chain of carbon atoms in a three carbon chain here. So we label them as one, sorry, 12 and three.
