Okay so we just need to go ahead and basically we remember how to write formulas for the poly atomic ions or how to name them from the formula and vice versa. Right so here we have format format remember is going to be ch oh two and it has a negative one negative one charge. Carbonate is C. 032 minus foss Fight. Now remember there's phosphate and then there's false fight. Here we have I. T. E. Which means there's going to be three oxygen. So it's P 03 three minus. Unlike phosphate, that would be P. 043 minus. So don't get those confused. And then we have hydrogen carbonate. So it's just a carbonate. Iron with a hydrogen carbonate. Iron would be C. 03 2 -. Or if you put the the hydrogen next to it, it would just be instead of C. U. 32 minus, it would be a church C. 03 and then just negative one charge because hydrogen has a positive one charge. So it would actually cancel one of those negative two charges. So let's go ahead and just cross that out and we're going to use H. C. 03 minus one for hydrogen carbonates. Okay so now sodium we know it's just a positive en A plus one. Right because it's in group one A. So let's go ahead and combine them together and then figure out the formula. So in a plus with a C. H. +02 minus one. They have basically the same charges just opposite charges. So we can just combine them in a 1 to 1 ratio. So it's going to be in a CH. 0. 2. Okay. And that will give us a a neutral compound because negative one and positive one will give us a zero. Right? So next we have carbonates. So carbonate has a negative two charge. While sodium has positive one charge. That means we actually need to sodium ions um to combine with one carbonate ion in order to give us a neutral compound. So we're going to write it as an A. Two And then c. 0. 3. So there's a formula for sodium carbonate. Next we have sodium phosphate fight against boss fight has negative three not negative one. So we need actually three. sodium is in order to combine into a neutral compound. So in a. three And then p. 0. 3. Right? So that will be positive three for the sodium and negative three for foss. Fight. So that would be sodium phosphate compound. And then finally the last one we have sodium and then hydrogen carbonate, carbonate has a negative one charge. Even though carbonate has a negative two charge. But we have hydrogen there it has a positive one charge again. So whenever they combine, right, we get this. So we're just looking at this poly atomic iron that has a negative one charge. Which means we just need one of each. So it's going to be sodium and then H CO three and that is it.
