General Chemistry I Course Objectives

Understand the three states of matter (gases, liquids, solids) in more detail.

Evaluation and Grading Procedures
Semester Exams I, II, & III: 3 exams @ 125 pts each (375 pts total)
Mastering Chemistry Quizzes: 6 sets, best 5 @ 15 pts each (75 pts total)
Mastering Chemistry Homework: 12 sets, best 10 @ 10 pts each (100 pts total)
Laboratory: Minimum 50% grade required (200 pts total)
Cumulative Final Exam: 250 pts
Total: 1000 pts
