Will you recall from previous lessons on changing fractions to their percentage equivalents that we're going to multiply the fraction times 100%. And we can rewrite the 100 part as over one and bring down the percent. So now we've got two fractions that are being multiplied by each other. So we can multiply straight across the numerator and straight across the denominators. nine times 100 in the numerator. I'm going to keep that as these two factors for a moment and then 25 times one in the denominators. That's 25. Bring down our percent. And whenever we have a factor that occurs in both the numerator and the denominator then those factors can cancel each other out and become ones. Are there any factors that occur in both the numerator and the denominator here? Well, 100. We could break that down. That's the same as 25 times four. So rewriting this, the numerator nine times 25 times four divided by 25. Bring down the percent. Look at those beautiful 20 fives. These 20 five's can cancel out they become ones. So our numerator is now nine times one times four. Well nine times one times four is 36 divided by Well that's just one in the denominator now. So 36 divided by one. That is. 36. So nine 25th.
